Who we are looking for:
As aRobotics Software Engineer,you will play a key role in validating, testing, and supporting the software used in Caracol's additive manufacturing systems.
You will work closely with theCustomer Success, Engineering and R&D; teams, helping troubleshoot technical issues and ensuring our customers achieve optimal performance from our technologies.
This role combinestechnical troubleshooting, software validation, and customer-facing support, offering exposure to cutting-edge automation and additive manufacturing systems.
Few examples of responsibilities:
Performsoftware testing and validationon Caracol's additive manufacturing software, ensuring correct functionality and performance.
Executehands-on robotic 3D printing teststo validate toolpath planning, slicing processes, and printing quality on large-scale AM systems.
Helptechnical support and field engineering teamsin troubleshooting Level 2 software-related issues, occasionally interacting with customers.
Provideinternal training and guidanceto support teams to help them handle common Level 1 technical requests.
Collaborate withR&D; and software teamsto report bugs, suggest improvements, and collect feedback from real production use.
Ideal Background:
Degree or Technical diploma (ITS) in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
1-3 years of experience in software testing and validation, as well as technical customer support, within the industrial automation or robotics sector.
Experience in Additive Manufacturing is a strong plus
Valid driving license and own vehicle required
Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory
Nice to have:
Basic knowledge of programming languages (C++, C#, or Java) and scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, or Bash)
Experience with industrial robots and basic knowledge of robot programming, preferably with KUKA, ABB or Universal Robots
