ppThe vKS Platform Engineering team is responsible for enabling enterprise success with VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) as part of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
Our mission is to accelerate adoption of vKS as the enterprise-grade Kubernetes platform for modern applications in private cloud.
/ppAs a vKS Application Engineer, you will be on the front lines with enterprise customers, driving the successful adoption of VMware Kubernetes Service (vKS) on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
This is a hands?on, customer?facing role focused on designing and validating solutions, running proof?of?conceptions, and guiding customers through their modernization journey.
/ph3Key Accountabilities /h3ulliAct as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers, guiding them through the design, validation, and deployment of vKS solutions on VCF.
/liliCollaborate closely with field account teams to align solution architecture with customer priorities and drive successful engagement outcomes.
/liliLead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and proof?of?conceptions to validate vKS architectures and demonstrate business value.
/liliPartner with sales to jointly develop customer proposals that address modernization goals, workload placement, and operational transformation.
/liliProvide prescriptive guidance on Kubernetes adoption, CI?CD integration, and DevOps enterprise requirements on scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
/liliBuild and share reference architectures, deployment patterns, and technical assets to accelerate customer adoption of vKS.
/liliDeliver clear, compelling technical presentations to diverse audiences, from architects to executive decision makers.
/liliStay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving enterprise requirements to position vKS effectively.
/liliCollaborate with product management and engineering to provide field feedback that influences roadmap direction.
/li /ulh3Required Skills Experience /h3ulliDeep technical acumen: experience in application engineering, consulting or technical sales for enterprise IT, cloud, or application platforms.
/liliStrong expertise in containers and a leading Kubernetes distribution (EKS, AKS, RH OCP/OPP, Rancher), and VMware Cloud Foundation (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) 8–10+ years in technology?related roles, with depth in enterprise IT architecture, application modernization, or cloud?native platforms.
/liliDemonstrated success working directly with enterprise customers to deliver technical solutions and drive platform adoption.
/liliExcellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and business leaders.
/liliStrong collaboration skills, able to work hand?in?hand with sales teams to advance customer opportunities.
/liliProven ability to identify challenges, design solutions, and articulate value in business terms.
/liliEnthusiastic self?starter with curiosity, drive, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
/liliThought leadership experience a plus.
/liliVertical / Geo specialization in Telco, FSI and LATAM a plus.
/liliAbility to travel up to 60% of the time.
/li /ulh3Additional Information /h3h3Compensation and Benefits /h3ulliThe annual base salary range for this position is EUR 53,****** To EUR 86,******.
/liliThis range reflects the expected compensation for the role in the relevant location.
/liliThis position is also eligible for a discretionary annual premio in line with applicable plan documents and may be considered for equity awards.
/liliAny equity awards are granted by Broadcom Inc. and are subject to the terms of the applicable equity plan.
/liliEquity awards are not considered part of local compensation and do not form part of the terms of employment with the employing entity.
