CHIEF ENGINEER – 47m PRIVATE MOTOR YACHT

We are seeking an Engineer to join a new build 47m explorer yacht to be delivered in March 2027.

We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on Engineer who is proactive and works well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in remote cruising areas, strong references and good longevity in previous positions.

This is a private and charter program designed for exploration.

Employment Start Date: Oct 1, 2027

Location: Rossinavi Shipyard (Italy)

Contract: Full-time

Program: Private and light charter

Itinerary: First season in the Med (Summer 2027), World Cruising (TBD)

Vessel Delivery date: March 2027

Living Arrangements: shore-based housing provided in Viareggio until vessel is ready for crew.

Requirements





• Appropriate Chief Engineer certification for the vessel

• Previous experience on similar-sized yachts

• Valid Shengen Visa, if required (EU citizenship is highly preferred)

• All certificates and documents up to date

• Strong references and proven longevity

• Excellent English and communication skills

• Professional, positive and team-oriented attitude

Package
- Salary: $8,000 +/- monthly during yard period | $10k monthly once vessel is delivered in Spring 2027
- Leave: 60 days annually | potential to turn rotational after 1 year
- Medical Insurance: provided by vessel
- Flights: covered by vessel
