TECHNICAL BUYER

Role The Technical Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of components, materials and technical services required for production activities and product development.

The role will work closely with R&D;, Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure material availability within the required timeframe and in compliance with the company's technical, quality and cost standards.

Responsibilities

- Manage the purchasing process for mechanical, electronic and electromechanical components, as well as technical materials.
- Review purchase requests, technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications.
- Identify, select and qualify new suppliers in cooperation with the Technical and Quality departments.
- Request and compare quotations, negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and quantities.
- Issue and monitor purchase orders through to final delivery.
- Ensure material availability in line with production plans and project requirements.
- Manage delays, non-conformities and supply issues, identifying suitable alternative solutions.
- Work with R&D; and Industrialization during the development and introduction of new products.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives,



component standardization and supplier-base optimization.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, service and delivery reliability.
- Keep purchasing data, commercial terms and supplier master data updated in the ERP system.
- Support inventory management and the reduction of excess and obsolete stock.

Requirements
- Technical diploma or degree in Engineering, Economics or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in technical purchasing roles within industrial or manufacturing companies.
- Ability to read technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electronic and electromechanical components.
- Experience in supplier negotiation and management.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Good command of English.
- Availability to travel to supplier sites when required.
