Mediterranean International Conducting Competition
The Mediterranean International Conducting Competition is an orchestral conducting contest organized by the Associazione Musicale Arturo Toscanini in Taranto, in partnership with the Fondazione Orchestra Sinfonica Federiciana. This competition is held under the patronage of the President of the Regional Council of Puglia and the City of Bisceglie. The inaugural edition will occur in Puglia, specifically in the cities of Molfetta and Bisceglie, from November 9 to November 15, 2026. It is dedicated to Maestro Mariano Patti, a respected conductor and educator known for his commitment to advancing musical culture and training young musicians.The competition seeks to discover and promote talented young conductors from around the globe.
It aims to provide them with real professional opportunities while encouraging artistic exchange on an international scale. The jury will be led by Marco Guidarini from Italy.
