Senior Business Developer – Italy
Pubblicato il 23-08-2026 - Eurowind Energy in Assago
Do you have a background in renewable energy project development and business development, and are you looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects from origination and acquisition all the way through to construction? We are looking for a Senior Business Developer to join our Italian team and help shape Eurowind Energy's growing onshore wind and PV portfolio in Italy.
Who we are
Eurowind Energy is a global and leading developer, owner and operator of energy parks. Based in Denmark, we operate in 16 countries around Europe and in the USA, and we are continuously growing our project portfolio. We believe in a future of renewable energy, and we have an ambitious plan of becoming the next generation's “Power Major”.
Based on a full value chain from greenfield project development to energy trading, more than 700 team members are dedicated to creating a greener future fueled with nothing but renewable energy!
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Developer to join our Italy team, based in Milan and reporting to the Country Manager, Italy. You will be part of a growing country team working across the full project value chain, with close collaboration between our Italian and Danish colleagues.
Your role
This is a development role at the centre of how Eurowind Energy grows in Italy — from originating and acquiring new projects to driving them through permitting and towards a financial investment decision and construction start. You will work within the development department and closely with the M&A;, Legal, Financing and EPC departments, giving you real influence over how the function and processes take shape.
- Project acquisition: Screen, evaluate, and support the acquisition of attractive renewable energy projects at various stages of development — from early-stage greenfield to shovel-ready assets — assessing technical, regulatory, and commercial viability, and producing clear investment reports on your findings
- Project origination: Identify new onshore wind and PV development opportunities aligned with our strategy for the Italian market — from greenfield site identification and landowner engagement through to early-stage permitting entry
- Support the preparation of business plans and impairment analyses together with the M&A;, Financing and EPC departments
- Interface with the external advisors (technical, legal, financial, corporate and tax) and coordinate internal teams through the NBO and BO stages of transaction execution
- Prepare investment memoranda and approvals to support board investment decisions
- Support the drafting and negotiation of acquisition contracts with the Legal department, through to transactions signing and closing
- Be responsible for the post-permitting processes until FID and during construction where applicable — managing secondary permitting, site engineering studies, detailed design and EPC tendering in collaboration with the EPC department
- Support the financing process to reach financial close and throughout COD and construction, interfacing with lenders and advisors alongside the Financing and EPC departments
What we offer
You will join a team that is still relatively new — an exciting journey where you help set the standard, with freedom under responsibility and close day-to-day collaboration across the full value chain, from origination to construction.
- Real ownership of transactions from identification to closing, and project structuring to company investment decision, working closely with the Country Manager and the wider Italian team
- An international, collaborative working environment with genuine personal development opportunities
- Close cooperation with HQ in Denmark across M&A;, Legal, Financing and EPC functions
- Employee premio plan
- A salary package matching your qualifications and background
The deal-making and structuring background we're looking for
We're looking for someone with a strong development and business development background who is equally comfortable managing projects, identifying opportunities, and in a negotiation room.
- MSc in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in the renewable energy sector
- 4–5 years' hands-on experience in project valuation, M&A; and structuring
- Fluent in Italian and English, with strong communication skills in both languages
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage relationships across Italian and HQ teams
- Prepared to travel often, mainly in Italy
Renewable energy is our future. And so are our people!
At Eurowind Energy we do our best to create a culture where everyone is valued and feels at home. You will notice this in your everyday work life, where you have the freedom to speak up and where your voice means something to us. We know that when you grow, we grow. Therefore, we strive to support you in what you believe is right and in your personal and professional development.
We offer you an exciting job in an energetic and international environment.
And we promise you: the wind is never standing still.
Developing, operating and managing wind and solar parks is not just pure business for us. It is a way to view the world. And with this worldview comes a genuine ambition to be one of the leading developers in Europe. Because creating a future run entirely on green energy matters to us.
We manage our own portfolio of projects and at the same time, we perform technical and financial management of projects. We have throughout many years experienced sustained economic growth in the number of developed projects and companies in management. And we continue to expect this. Simply because it is in our nature to keep developing – projects, companies and our people.
