Production Technician (Assembly) - 3rd shift (11pm - 7:30am)
Summary/Purpose
The Production Technician for Assembly will support manufacturing activities and team members while following policies and procedures related to successful manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
- Drive and lead team in 5S
- Relieve Team Lead as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance are required by the schedule
- Troubleshot short stops and perform required quality checks
- Operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity
- Operate and maintain automated and semi-automated equipment in a high-volume production environment
- Able to communicate and perform in a fast paced, team environment with a positive outlook in communication and conduct with others
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Flexible to work in any area of operation/shift as needed
- Travel as needed
- May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Demonstrated ability to properly use various gauging equipment (i.e., calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.)
- Knowledge of equipment condition check sheets and required documentation
- Able to perform preventive maintenance as required by the P.M. schedule
- Able to perform required quality checks and to troubleshoot sort stops.
- Problem solving and decision making skills – gather, organize, and analyze information to resolve a problem/situation and make sound decisions consistent with JTEKT philosophy
- Able to cross train on all lines
