Junior HTML CSS Developer
Pubblicato il 23-08-2026 - Jhc Consulting in Roma
p>JHC Consulting is currently advising a major Italian infrastructure firm on high-level governance and strategic direction. While our work is rooted in written argument and the formal memorandum, the digital presentation of our findings is essential to the clarity of our counsel. As a Junior HTML CSS Developer, you will bridge the gap between rigorous analysis and readable, structured digital documents.
This is a full-time, permanent position designed for someone early in their career who values precision and the discipline of clean code.
The Role
You will spend your time translating complex memoranda and analytical data into clean, semantic HTML and CSS. Your primary task is to ensure that the written word is presented with maximum clarity. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining layout templates for our internal and client-facing digital reports.
- Managing typography and spacing to ensure long-form memoranda are easy to read on various screens.
- Converting data visualizations and analytical tables into accessible, standards-compliant HTML.
- Working with our principals to ensure that the digital version of their written work preserves the nuances of their arguments.
- Testing and refining document styles to ensure they remain functional and legible across different browsers.
- Supporting the firm by building simple, durable tools that help our analysts organize their research materials.
- Ensuring all digital artifacts meet the firm standards for discretion and professional presentation.
What You Bring
We are looking for an individual who understands that code is a form of writing. You should have a solid foundation in the basics of web structure, including a curiosity about how technology can serve institutional strategy.
Requirements include:
- A basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including experience with layouts using flexbox and grid.
- A high level of attention to detail: you notice small inconsistencies in padding, margins, or font sizes.
- A strong interest in typography and how the visual arrangement of text influences reading comprehension.
- Willingness to learn the JHC Consulting method, which prioritizes clear logic and evidence over visual flair.
- An ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively in a remote setting.
- Experience with basic version control or a willingness to learn how to document your code changes meticulously.
- Intellectual maturity and the ability to handle confidential information with appropriate care.
How We Work
At JHC Consulting, we believe that the document is the work. We do not use slide presentations or performative meetings to convey our ideas.
Every project results in a signed memorandum where the author is held accountable for their logic and their evidence.
This philosophy extends to our technical work. Every line of CSS you write should serve the clarity of the argument. We operate with a high degree of individual responsibility. You will be expected to manage your own tasks and ensure that your technical contributions meet the intellectual standards of the firm.
There is no middle management here: you are responsible for the quality of the pages you build.
Working at JHC Consulting
This role is fully remote, allowing you the autonomy to structure your work in a way that supports deep focus. We believe that professional growth comes from being given real responsibility early on. As an entry-level member of the firm, you will be treated with the same respect and scrutiny as a senior principal.
The position is paid, and the compensation is attractive for the current market and reflects the high standards we maintain. Because we are a small firm, you will have a clear view of how high-level advisory work is conducted and how simple, clean technology supports strategic decision-making at the board level.
Our practice is built on the belief that clear writing leads to clear thinking. Whether we are advising on a project for an infrastructure giant or building the digital framework for a new mandate, the goal remains the same: provide an honest, rigorous, and signed record of our best thinking. We look for people who are prepared to stand behind their work and who find satisfaction in the quiet discipline of a well-constructed page.
