Indirect Procurement Category Manager

This position supports the Head of Indirect Procurement to manage the procurement activities related to indirect goods and services within Alfasigma organization.
This role involves developing and implementing effective supplier and category strategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes.
The Indirect Procurement Category Manager collaborates with various departments to understand their procurement needs and aligns procurement strategies to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Your key responsibilities:
1) Category and Supplier Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for indirect goods and services.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to identify procurement opportunities and risks.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high-quality products/services and timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement improvement plans as necessary.
3) Cost Management:
- Optimize costs by negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service.
4) Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as departments requiring indirect goods/services) to understand their needs and requirements.
- Communicate procurement policies and procedures to internal teams, ensuring compliance and understanding of best practices.
5) Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions or supplier financial instability.
