The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our fast‑growing Infrastructure team, in our Milan Office, who will deliver local and global projects including landmark projects in Italy and major infrastructures in Europe and the UK for Italian and global clients and contractors.
The variety of projects and the internal research opportunities provide a great environment to develop technical skills and the delivery of complex megaprojects.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Arup, You Will
- Guide and deliver geotechnical design packages for complex building and infrastructure projects in Italy and internationally.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated,
high‑quality engineering solutions.
- Plan and manage geotechnical investigations, including fieldwork, laboratory testing, data interpretation, and ground modelling.
- Carry out advanced geotechnical and numerical analyses, producing calculations, drawings, specifications, and clear technical reports.
- Coordinate work packages across multiple projects and proposals, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Support, mentor, and develop junior colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Contribute to technical excellence, digital innovation, and knowledge sharing within Arup’s global geotechnical community.
