Plan International is looking for a Grants Finance Officer to join the Grants Finance team supporting ITNO (Italy) . The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management of projects formulated and implemented by Plan Italia, working closely with country offices and local partners to ensure sound and compliant financial management. Regularly monitor the overall financial execution of each project against approved proposal budgets Coordinate with and support the Operations area in the review and regulatory compliance of administrative documentation, ensuring adherence to donor requirements and internal procedures Prepare and maintain budget formats used to record expenditure and donor reporting Support and coordinate the administrative information flow from project partners, ensuring compliance with donor rules and procedures, and guarantee smooth administrative information flow within Plan International Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including those drafted in Italian, and organize and prepare all necessary supporting documentation Prepare budgets in collaboration with Plan International’s administrative and programme staff Carry out coordination and monitoring missions in the countries where projects are implemented Degree in Business Administration, Economics,
International Cooperation, or a related field A Master’s degree is a plus Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role Prior experience in the third sector is essential Excellent command of English and good command of French Solid knowledge of funding sources and the procedures/regulations of major institutional donors Experience with projects funded by AICS and the European Commission (particularly DG ECHO) At least 3 years’ experience in financial and administrative management of AICS-funded projects Experience using monitoring and evaluation tools Experience preparing financial reports and managing all administrative and procedural aspects related to compliance with institutional donor guidelines Excellent command of the Office suite and Excel, and familiarity with key IT tools Experience with Navision ERP and/or reports managed or extracted from SAP is an asset Willingness to travel on missions abroad Our mission is to improve the lives of millions of girls and boys around the world, working to advance their rights and create real opportunities for them to learn, grow, and thrive.
