Job Description
The Curing Press Operator is responsible for operating truck tire curing presses and ensuring green commercial truck tires are properly loaded, cured, and processed according to production specifications and quality standards.
The role requires attention to safety, accuracy, material handling, equipment monitoring, and communication with multiple departments.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Operate truck tire curing presses to cure green tires according to specifications.
- Ensure assigned presses remain supplied with the correct green tires.
- Remove empty buggies and stock full buggies at assigned press locations.
- Verify correct tire codes and load the proper tire into the correct curing press.
- Properly orient tires according to splice requirements before loading.
- Operate spray booths, Illemberger equipment, and battery-powered tire delivery equipment as required.
- Monitor curing press operations and adjust controls as necessary.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, out-of-spec conditions, or abnormal operating conditions to supervision.
