Direct Current Datacenter System Architect
Specialista Senior / Project Manager
In this role you will shape next-generation Direct Current data center architectures by translating customer challenges into optimized electrical solutions. You will act as a technical advisor across the project lifecycle, collaborating with hyperscalers and ABB teams to drive adoption, reduce churn, and deliver pioneering DC data center projects. You'll influence product roadmaps and lead pilot implementations, making a tangible impact on data center efficiency and reliability. This position offers global collaboration, travel, and opportunities to influence the broader DC data center market.
- Collaborate with ABB data center segment and account managers to support the transition from AC to Direct Current data centers for hyperscalers
- Design end-to-end electrical power system solutions for data centers, focusing on scalable, future-ready architectures
- Develop Direct Current protection and control schemes, including operation sequences and load management
- Align customer and market requirements with product development priorities
- Coordinate with engineering and product teams to identify technology gaps and influence roadmap
- Lead and support pilot projects ensuring early-stage execution of DC data center solutions
- Serve as technical authority and customer advocate through sales, design, and delivery
- Contribute to technical thought leadership on emerging DC power architectures and trends
- 5+ years of experience in power system design, consulting, or solution architecture
- Strong background in data center power systems or exposure to Direct Current power solutions
- Knowledge of electrical power systems including switchgear, transformers, protection, and control systems
- Ability to operate in evolving technical environments
- Willingness to travel internationally, especially to the United States
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
