All about the role

Within the Global Purchasing Organization, you will lead the European strategy for Metal Components, partnering with Product Line and Business Area Purchasing teams to drive sourcing excellence, innovation, sustainability and value creation. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with global stakeholders and key suppliers to shape the future of our products and supply chain

What you'll do

As Europe Category Manager – Metal Components, you will be responsible for developing and deploying category strategies, managing strategic supplier relationships and driving business results through sourcing, negotiations and supplier development initiatives.

In detail, you will:

- Own the European category strategy for assigned metal components and materials.

- Lead supplier selection, sourcing decisions and annual negotiations.

- Drive Value Based Sourcing initiatives and supplier early involvement in new programs.

- Promote supplier development activities focused on quality, productivity,



automation and innovation.

- Perform cost modelling and identify opportunities for simplification and complexity reduction.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support product launches and strategic initiatives.

- Monitor market trends, supplier performance and business risks to ensure sustainable value creation.

Who you are

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field.

- 3–5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Category Management or similar roles.

- Proven track record in delivering cost reductions and value creation initiatives.

- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and direct materials purchasing.

- Experience managing supplier relationships and complex negotiations.

- Strong analytical skills, including cost modelling and data-driven decision making.

- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels and regions.

- Availability to travel internationally up to 30%.

The annual gross base salary starts from €54750, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is covered by the Italian Metalworkers’ National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanici).
