Location: Sicily, Italy – On-site

Expected Start: October 2026

Project Duration: Approx. 15 months, until December 2027

Working Schedule: Monday–Friday, regular working hours

CBS Global is looking for BESS Field Service / O&M; Engineers to support a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System project in Sicily.

The engineers will be responsible for on-site operation and maintenance of BESS and PCS systems, including inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical testing, fault handling and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily inspections and preventive/corrective maintenance of BESS and PCS systems.
- Troubleshoot faults, alarms and abnormal system conditions.
- Perform fault diagnosis, repair, component replacement and on-site rectification.
- Perform electrical safety checks, testing and measurements.
- Support BESS/PCS commissioning activities when required.
- Monitor and record equipment/system operating conditions.
- Follow site HSE, work-permit and electrical-safety requirements.
- Prepare daily O&M;/service reports and timesheets.
- Coordinate technical activities with relevant project stakeholders.
- Support urgent system issues when required.

Minimum Requirements

- Electrical/Electrotechnical/Energy technical background.
- Relevant electrical/power industry experience.
- Experience in BESS and PCS commissioning, O&M;,



maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of BESS, PCS/inverters and related electrical systems.
- Appropriate electrical qualification/certification for industrial electrical work.
- Capability to work with electrical systems up to approximately DC 1500 V / AC 690 V, subject to required local authorization.
- Ability to perform electrical testing and use relevant test equipment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, manuals and technical documentation.
- Good English communication skills; Italian suitable for local site activities.
- Legal right to work in Italy.
- Valid driving licence.
- Based in Sicily or able to work locally throughout the project.
- Strong HSE and electrical-safety awareness.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous utility-scale BESS/PCS experience.
- Experience with BMS, EMS/SCADA and MV/LV systems.
- Experience with substations, solar or other renewable-energy projects.
- Relevant Italian electrical safety qualifications/authorizations.

Site Entry / Training

Selected engineers will complete, as applicable:

- Required medical examination.
- HSE and site-entry training.
- Required Italian electrical qualification/examination based on the referenced SEP electrical qualification scope.
- Required BESS/PCS product and technical training/authorization before independent site activities.
