/p h3Role Purpose /h3 pAs Senior Electrical Engineer based in Italy you will be responsible for the engineering activities on a specific construction project.
The activities associated with the project will vary and will be agreed with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis.
You will co-ordinate the technical design with the onsite installation through to the successful commissioning ensuring that the Kirby Group vision, mission values are fulfilled.
/p h3Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities /h3 ul liComplete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications.
/li liValidate cable sizing and make recommendations as appropriate.
/li liEnsure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.
/li liCompile and issue electrical technical submittals.
/li liManage submittals through the approvals process,



track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and complete the receipt verification process once the equipment is delivered.
/li liAttend record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored maintained within the overall construction programme.
/li liUpdate and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.
/li liReview the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.
/li liLiaise with the design team supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site successful handover.
/li liComplete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
/li liCompile test pack, FTOP's and OMs and present for approval.
/li liManage specialist vendors during the commissioning process to ensure timely completion of their works.
/li liUndertake client training in line with agreed training plan.
/li liLead Engineering Design and Design Management tasks on Projects as part of an integrated project team, /li liStrong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services Design, /li liProactive with a strong ability to work independently and without supervision, /li liDesign and specification of Electrical Engineering Solutions to current regulations and design standards, /li liWorking directly with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions, /li liDevelop and agree design processes and design deliverables, /li liLead Pre-Construction Engineering activities and the production of information including, design development, construction details, services coordination, technical submittals, sub-contracts, etc, /li liAssist in the continual improvement of the QA System and execute project reviews,



/li liProvide technical support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, marketing and project bid teams, /li liProvide off site technical support to construction teams on projects, /li /ul h3Necessary requirement of the Senior Electrical Engineer /h3 ul li3rd level Qualification in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering.
/li liExperience with both LV and MV systems primarily in building services and data centre environments.
/li liKnowledge experience of current Design Guides, Codes of Practice, ETCI and or BS**** Regulations, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards, etc, /li liExperience in Amtech, Dialux, Adobe Pro, Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and MS Office Suite Software, /li liExperience of client, vendor contractor interaction management, /li liSignificant Project engineering experience of 7 years+ ideally in a construction environment.
/li liPrevious record of delivering Electrical projects (Commercial, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects) /li liCommercial Awareness /li liCapability of walking down electrical systems to ensure compliance with specification /li liExperience developing technical submittals, completing technical reviews and assessments.
/li liKnowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures – knowledge of the team, their strengths and weaknesses /li liThe ability to multi-task and manage many priorities /li liExcellent communicator/strong interpersonal skills/communicates with impact /li liExcellent record keeper and administration skills /li liLeads and influences others.
