Okatim is looking for an IT Technical Expert (e VDI Support) for one of our clients in the defense and aerospace sector
The IT Technical Expert e VDI Support is responsible for the technical support and daily operation of the client's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
The role ensures the availability, performance, and reliability of virtual desktop services, providing Level 2/3 support and hands?on assistance to internal users in coordination with infrastructure, network, and security teams.
Responsibilities include provisioning, configuring, deploying, updating, and maintaining virtual desktops, as well as managing images and templates.
The expert diagnoses and resolves incidents related to access, connectivity, and performance, monitors the VDI environment, identifies potential issues,



and proposes optimizations.
The role also supports VDI platform upgrades and evolution projects and maintains technical documentation and operating procedures.
The ideal candidate has solid experience with VMware Horizon and/or Citrix VDI, good knowledge of Windows workstations and servers, and familiarity with networking, Active Directory, and GPOs.
The ability to troubleshoot performance issues in virtualized environments is required.
Power Shell or equivalent scripting skills are a plus for automating routine tasks.
This position is based in Rome.
