ph3Overview /h3pThe RD Associate Director plays a pivotal role in planning and managing a RD department of AOX and Palatants in EMENA.
The role includes managing relations with the US teams.
This position is a senior member of the leadership team in KN EMEA.
/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop and execute goals, strategies and tactics in the area of responsibility as part of the broader strategic plan and in concert with Kemin.
/liliLead and manage cross functional programs, often including staff and facilities internationally.
/liliLiaise with collaborators including government and private sectors both domestically and internationally.
/liliProvide accurate and timely project status/updates within the BU and to other business units.
/liliManage facilities for the KNE.
Liaise with other business units in various capacities.
/liliWrite technical papers, peer reviewed papers for journals and patents.
Represent business unit at company level meetings.
Present at scientific meetings externally and internally.
/liliManage personnel and resources in EMEA.
/liliMentor team members in accountability for deliverables, estimates, planning, follow up and tracking of various projects.
/liliPerform annual performance review of staff,



addressing personnel issues and solving problems.
/liliAttracts, recruits, and retains new members of the team and provides mentoring to subordinates /liliWorks with executives and senior management.
Plays several key roles in the successful growth of the team and the company.
/li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliA PhD in the specific area of expertise required with 10 years of management and leadership experience.
/liliA working knowledge and expert familiarity with the science and production of KN products /liliExperience in functional management and planning.
/liliMust be able to work very independently and manage multidisciplinary teams.
/liliRequires analytical thinking, innovation, self-motivation and a high degree of problem-solving skills.
/liliExcellent communication and networking skills.
/liliA passion for scientific investigation and creative thinking.
/liliExcellent written and oral communication skills.
/liliProficient in English, multilingual is a plus.
/liliA proficiency in statistical analysis and bioinformatics /li /ulpTRAVEL: Europe and international travel required.
Travel may be as high as 20%.
