ppWe are seeking an experienced bProject QC Engineer /b to join a major data centre project in Milan, Italy.
/p pThis is a site-based quality role with responsibility for managing and coordinating quality control activities throughout bconstruction, testing, commissioning and handover /b.
/p pYou will take ownership of QC deliverables including inspections, Inspection Test Plans, test packs, walkdowns, snag management and quality reporting, ensuring project requirements are consistently met and all documentation is complete, accurate and fully traceable for final handover.
/p pWorking as part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will collaborate closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, BIM, EHS, supply chain and client teams.
/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Quality Management /h3 ul liPromote a strong bright-first-time quality culture /b across the project.
/li liEnsure QC activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications, procedures and applicable standards.
/li liSupport the development and implementation of project-specific quality procedures and method statements.
/li liCollaborate with construction, engineering, commissioning, planning, EHS, procurement, supply chain and project teams.
/li liIdentify, record and drive quality issues through to effective close-out.
/li liSupport root cause analysis and corrective action processes where required.
/li /ul h3Inspection Test Plans /h3 ul liDevelop, review and maintain bInspection Test Plans (ITPs) /b and inspection checklists.
/li liCoordinate inspection requirements with construction and engineering teams.
/li liTrack ITP approvals and ensure inspections are aligned with the construction programme.
/li liMonitor inspection status and identify potential delays or quality risks.
/li liEnsure inspection and testing records are accurately completed, reviewed and maintained.
/li liCoordinate inspection notifications and ensure relevant stakeholders are available when required.
/li /ul h3Test Packs Handover /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain test pack registers in conjunction with project stakeholders.
/li liDefine system boundaries and limits for individual test packs.
/li liCoordinate the compilation, review and completion of test packs.
/li liPrepare quality documentation for walkdowns, testing, commissioning and final handover.
/li liEnsure quality records, certificates and inspection documentation are complete and traceable.
/li liSupport the project team in achieving a structured and efficient handover.
/li liTrack outstanding documentation and actions through to completion.
/li /ul h3Walkdowns Snag Management /h3 ul liPlan and coordinate quality walkdowns using project lookahead programmes.
/li liManage bW1, W2 and W3 walkdown notifications /b and turnover activities.
/li liLead internal and third-party quality walkdowns.
/li liConduct pre-test inspections using drawings, schematics, bSLDs and PIDs /b.
/li liRecord, categorise and track defects, snags and outstanding works.
/li liWork closely with construction and subcontractor teams to drive timely close-out.
/li liMonitor planned versus actual walkdown and close-out performance.
/li liProvide regular updates on outstanding quality actions and project readiness.
/li /ul h3Welding Fabrication Quality /h3 ul liMonitor weld traceability and associated quality documentation.
/li liMaintain weld logs and monitor welder qualifications and certification.
/li liCoordinate visual inspections and NDT requirements.
/li liEnsure heat maps, inspection records and relevant certification are maintained.
/li liIdentify quality trends and elevate recurring issues where appropriate.
/li liVerify that fabrication and installation activities meet project quality requirements.
/li /ul h3BIM, Data Reporting /h3 ul liWork closely with the BIM team to ensure accurate field data and project attributes.
/li liMaintain data integrity within bBIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) /b and other project systems.
/li liEnsure quality issues are correctly categorised, assigned, tracked and closed.
/li liSupport the implementation of equipment and asset tagging systems, including QR code tracking.
/li liMonitor quality dashboards and reporting systems.
/li liTrack key quality KPIs and provide accurate progress reporting to project management.
/li liSupport supply chain quality performance monitoring and corrective action plans.
/li liEnsure project quality records remain accurate and up to date.
/li /ul h3Commissioning Compliance /h3 ul liCoordinate closely with commissioning teams to align QC activities with bL3-L5 commissioning requirements /b.
/li liSupport system turnover and commissioning readiness.
/li liMonitor calibration and certification of inspection, measuring and test equipment.
/li liEnsure equipment and asset tagging requirements are maintained.
/li liCoordinate required inspections and certification for handover.
/li liSupport project requirements relating to bBCAR, LEED and BREEAM /b, where applicable.
/li liParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
/li liSupport lessons-learned activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liProven experience as a bQC Engineer,
Quality Engineer or Quality Inspector /b on major construction projects.
/li liExperience working on bdata centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial or other regulated/mission-critical projects /b.
/li liStrong understanding of ITPs, inspections, test packs, walkdowns, snagging and handover processes.
/li liAbility to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, bSLDs and PIDs /b.
/li liExperience managing quality documentation and project records.
/li liGood understanding of construction and commissioning processes.
/li liExperience working with digital quality management and reporting systems.
/li liStrong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
/li liAbility to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
/li liStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.
/li liProactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
/li liRelevant engineering, construction or quality-related qualification is desirable.
