/h3pResponsible for preparation and coordination of medical staff functions including medical staff and medical staff committee meetings (agendas, minutes, follow-up), bylaws, rules and regulations and policies and procedures for approval by the medical staff and governing board; oversight of all credentialing processes (maintenance of credentials files, initial appointment and reappointment of medical, allied health practitioner and outpatient staffs).
Participates in development and processing, as applicable, of quality management activities for the department and the medical staff.
Prepares budget for the medical staff organization and the medical staff services department.
/ph3Position Details /h3pLocated at MERCY HOSPITAL SPRINGFIELD /ppMinimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree.
/ph3Experience /h3ulliThree or more years of recent previous experience in medical staff services.
/liliCompletion of required training with Mercy medical staff services and credentialing and data center.




/li /ulh3Certification(s) /h3pCertified Medical Staff Manager by the National Association Medical within two years of hire.
/ph3Skills, Knowledge, Abilities /h3ulliAbility to read and communicate effectively in English.
/liliStrong written and verbal skills.
/liliComputer knowledge; MS Word, Excel, Access and use of internet.
/liliAbove average organizational skills and attention to detail.
