Mechanical Commissioning Engineer – Site-based, Northern Italy

We are RISE, a fast-growing company based in Varese, Italy. In commissioning, we are recognized for who we are on site: hands-on approach, cross-disciplinary technical competence, and proven experience in complex projects — whether acting as Commissioning Manager for General Contractors or as Commissioning Authority. We are expanding our team and looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer.

What you will do
Pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical systems: HVAC, pumping and piping systems, chillers, air handling units, hydraulic balancing
Functional testing, performance verification and troubleshooting during start-up
FAT/SAT execution and documentation, QA/QC test packs, punch list management
Day-by-day coordination with design teams, installation contractors and clients, directly on site
Compliance verification with applicable technical standards and project specifications

What we are looking for




Degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering, or equivalent technical background
At least 1 year of experience in commissioning or start-up of mechanical/HVAC systems
Hands-on experience with measurement instruments (flow, pressure, temperature)
Ability to read P&IDs;, technical drawings and functional specifications
The RISE approach: you solve problems in the field rather than escalate them, you are curious beyond your own discipline, and you adapt quickly when the project changes — because complex projects always do
Working knowledge of Italian (B1 or higher) for site coordination; English proficiency
Driving licence (B) — essential requirement
Full availability to work on construction sites, mainly in Northern Italy
