In this role you will support the Director of Finance to run the hotel’s financial operations with accuracy and strong internal controls. You will lead accounting activities, guide the finance team, and ensure timely reporting and compliance within a luxury setting. You’ll work closely with cross-functional colleagues to drive efficiency and financial performance. - Support management of all financial operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and legal requirements
- Oversee daily accounting activities (AP, AR, income audit, general cashier)
- Supervise and develop the Accounting team
- Represent the Director of Finance in their absence and support departmental leadership
- Coordinate month-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Review financial statements and investigate variances against budget/forecast
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting aligned with business objectives
- Manage cash flow and treasury to ensure liquidity and working capital control




- Monitor internal controls and propose process improvements
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes and regulatory compliance
- Oversee tax obligations, licenses, and statutory reporting
- Support payroll and credit control processes with relevant functions
- Review and approve financial transactions, reconciliations and adjustments
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial performance and efficiency
- Support learning and development within the Finance team
- Ensure compliance with MOHG policies, Code of Conduct, and Safe, Sound and Sustainable practices
- Carry out additional duties to support xysqume hotel operations
- 2–5 years of supervisory or management experience in hotel finance or accounting
- Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Compliance with MOHG Pillars, LQEs, and Guiding Principles
