My client is a well-established international manufacturer within the electromechanical components sector, supplying innovative solutions to a wide range of industrial customers across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to develop business opportunities and strengthen customer relationships across the Italian market.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting customers with technically focused solutions. This role combines commercial sales activity with a strong technical understanding, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both relationship building and consultative selling.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and distributors throughout Italy
- Identify new business opportunities and actively grow the customer portfolio within your territory engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels, from engineering teams through to senior decision-makers




- Work closely with internal teams to develop strategic account plans and achieve ambitious sales targets
- Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to negotiation and contract award
- Monitor market developments, customer projects, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Account Manager, or similar customer-facing technical sales role
- A technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline would be advantageous
- At least 3 years of experience selling technical products or solutions into industrial markets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence a variety of stakeholders
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to developing new business
- Comfortable working independently
