In this role you lead PMESII Team 2 within the NSD-S Hub to deliver medium- to long-term strategic analyses of the South region. You will shape horizon scanning, risk assessment, and cross-domain insights to inform NATO decision-making and operations. You collaborate with KMC and CRAS to produce timely, multidisciplinary intelligence products. You’ll operate in a multinational, high-pressure environment, with a clear mission to enhance regional stability and NATO effectiveness. This position combines research leadership with mentorship, contributing to a comprehensive common picture of the South. to PMESII research Monitor PMESII developments in NSD-S and formulate recommendations to address capability gaps Identify and analyze regional challenges and stability factors to anticipate future developments Assess long-term patterns to anticipate crises and inform response in the South Coordinate with NATO and national actors on security sector activities and opportunities for enhanced cooperation Direct and validate PMESII knowledge products for CRAS Section Head, and contribute to horizon scanning and foresight analysis Gather and interpret information to support NSD-S Hub knowledge requirements; coordinate with KME Head Experience planning, managing, and conducting intelligence activities across human, identity, signal, imagery, and measurement & signature intelligence Ability to assess industrial, technological, geographical, and sociological factors and to prepare intelligence assessments Experience using and managing intelligence data handling systems University degree with post-related experience or equivalent vocational/qualification pathway Proficiency in English (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
