We are present in more than 130 countries, represented by more than 10,000 colleagues globally. /ppbJob Purpose: /b /ppWe are looking for a bCountry Regulatory Manager, based in Cesena, /b to join our Regulatory Affairs team, taking full ownership of a defined agricultural product portfolio — which may include insecticides, herbicides, biostimulants, and/or fertilisers — across Italy and Malta. /ppIn this role, you will be the driving force behind all regulatory activities for your assigned portfolio, ensuring that every dossier, submission, and authorization pathway is strategically aligned with our business objectives and commercial timelines. You will be accountable for the quality, completeness, and fitness-for-purpose of all regulatory documentation, breporting directly to the Country Regulatory Lead for Italy and Malta /b. /ppbKey Responsibilities: /b /ppbA) Portfolio Authorization Lifecycle Management /b /pul liLead the obtaining, maintenance, and extension of product authorizations, ensuring alignment with agreed business timelines and commercial objectives. /li liOversee the preparation, revision, and submission of regulatory dossiers, applications, and defense papers, ensuring country-specific requirements and local risk assessments are accurately reflected. /li liMonitor and manage evaluation processes, proactively responding to national authority queries and emerging regulatory challenges across your portfolio.



/li liCollaborate with regional and EU regulatory colleagues to align local strategies with broader European frameworks. /li /ulpbB) Stakeholder Engagement Cross-Functional Collaboration /b /pul liBuild and maintain strong professional relationships with Italian and Maltese regulatory authorities, acting as the primary point of contact for your portfolio. /li liPartner with RD, Sales, and Marketing to represent regulatory and safety positions, support business decisions, and contribute to advocacy activities. /li liAct as a trusted regulatory advisor within the local cross-functional team, providing timely and accurate guidance to the sales force and other internal functions. /li /ulpbC) Administrative Compliance Activities /b /pul liCoordinate and execute, with full autonomy, administrative regulatory tasks including formulation changes, addition of new distributors and manufacturers, PCN submissions, SDS management, and customer communications /li liEnsure all product labelling is fully compliant with current regulatory authorizations and applicable national packaging and labelling legislation in both markets /li /ulpbD) Regulatory Intelligence Knowledge Management /b /pul liMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of European and national legislation governing Plant Protection Products, biostimulants, and — where applicable — biocides and fertilisers. /li liProactively monitor legislative developments at EU and national level, assessing their impact on existing and future authorizations and flagging risks or opportunities to the team. /li liEnsure rigorous documentation management across internal and external archives and regulatory databases. /li /ulpbE) Team Contribution /b /pul liProvide active support to the wider regulatory team, sharing expertise, contributing to best practices, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.



/li /ulpbQualifications and Skills: /b /pul libMinimum 4 years of regulatory experience /b in relevant registration procedures in Italy and/or Europe, with a solid understanding of national and EU-level processes. /li libScientific background /b in one or more disciplines relevant to regulatory affairs (e.g. chemistry, biology, agronomy, toxicology, or environmental sciences). /li liSound knowledge of key bEU Regulations /b, including: /li /ul ul lio PPP Regulationb (EC) 1107/2009 /b /li lio Fertilising Products Regulation b(EU) 1009/2019 /b /li lio REACH b(EC) 1907/2006 /b /li lio CLP b(EC) 1272/2008 /b /li lio Biocidal Products Regulation b(EU) 528/2012 /b /li /ulp• Familiarity with bItalian national legislation /b, including Decree PPP 55/2012 and FP 75/2010. /pp• bFluency in both Italian and English /b(written and spoken) is essential. /pp• Experience in bdossier writing, risk assessment, and/or study monitoring /b is considered a strong plus. /ppbNotice to Recruiters and Staffing Agencies: /b /ppUPL and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("UPL") have an internal recruiting department.
