The company’s cutting-edge products are used in laboratories and pharma companies worldwide. 3Brain is headquartered in Switzerland nearby Zurich, has a Data Science and Discovery Unit in Genova, Italy, and an operational unit in the US. **Tasks** 3Brain is looking for an on-site full-time Field Application Scientist for its Italian office located in Genova, who will join the Customer Success Department to support customer activities by identifying approaches to solve their needs concerning technical and experimental questions, statistical analysis of results and technical support with a particular emphasis on data analysis interface between science, tech, and sales, working closely with customers, but also will perform tests and validation on current and newcoming products, lab R&D; activities. Main responsibilities: - Collect information about customer experience and provide regular follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide remote and on-site scientific consulting and technical support activities for our customers, partners, and distributors worldwide
- Perform experimental laboratory activities such as dissection of animals (e.g. mouse, rat) both embryonic and postnatal for the preparation of cell cultures (e.g. cardiomyocytes, neurons).
- Experience with human and non-human stem cells and maintenance of cell cultures.
- Process experimental results, perform statistical analysis, prepare, and present reports.
- Perform experimental tests with diverse cell preparations and cell models (e.g., brain slices, cell cultures, spheroids, organoids) on 3Brain’s devices.
- Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing teams to align scientific support with business goals and customer expectations.
- Support Hardware and Software team in validating and testing new prototypes with biological models.
- Attend conferences, congress, and trade shows. **Requirements**:
**Required Qualifications**
- PhD degree in neuroscience / neurobiology / biomedical engineering / biomedical sciences.
- Knowledgeable in electrophysiology and tools commonly used in in-vitro neurobiology.
- Knowledgeable about statistical analysis tools.
- Proficient working in a Windows environment.
- Full proficiency (C1 level) or mother tongue in English.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse audiences through both written and oral communications.
- Highly motivated self-starter and problem solver. **Additional Qualifications**
- Experience with either microelectrode array (MEA), calcium imaging or patch-clamp recordings.
- Experience with preparation of cell cultures from continuous lines, cryogenic material.
- Strong molecular and neuroscientific background.
- 1+ years of laboratory experience on cell-based assays for compound screening. **Benefits**
