ph3Position Details: /h3 h3Cardiovascular Technician (Full-Time Days) /h3 h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), applying and processing cardiac monitors, and supporting daily clinical and administrative operations.
This role works closely with physicians, clinical staff, and patients to provide high-quality cardiovascular diagnostic services while ensuring accurate documentation, patient education, and effective communication of results.
The Cardiovascular Technician contributes to exceptional patient care through teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail.
/p h3Essential Responsibilities /h3 h3Cardiovascular Testing Monitoring /h3 ul liPerform and accurately record EKGs.
/li liPrepare patients and apply cardiac monitoring devices.
/li liEducate patients on the proper use and care of cardiac monitors.
/li liIdentify and recognize cardiac rhythms and monitor abnormalities.
/li liMaintain accurate logs and documentation of all diagnostic tracings and monitor reports.
/li liCommunicate monitor results promptly and effectively with ordering and consulting physicians.
/li /ul h3Patient Care /h3 ul liRoom patients and prepare them for examinations and testing.
/li liObtain and document patient vital signs.
/li liAssist with patient flow to ensure efficient and timely care.
/li liSupport physicians and clinical staff with chart preparation, dictation, and related patient care activities.




/li /ul h3Administrative Support /h3 ul liAssist with patient scheduling and ensure appointments are entered appropriately in the scheduling system.
/li liMaintain accurate patient records and documentation.
/li liPerform general office and clerical duties as assigned.
/li /ul h3Equipment Supply Management /h3 ul liPerform routine preventative maintenance and quality checks on cardiovascular equipment.
/li liReport equipment concerns promptly to Biomedical Engineering.
/li liClean and maintain TEE probes and TEE probe cleaning equipment, as applicable.
/li liMonitor inventory, stock supplies, and check supply expiration dates.
/li liMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
/li /ul h3Other Duties /h3 ul liPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
/li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Required Education /h3 ul liHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
/li /ul h3Required Certification /h3 ul liBasic Life Support (BLS) certification.
/li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
/li liBasic computer and data entry skills.
/li liStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.




/li liAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
/li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 h3Preferred Experience /h3 ul liOne (1) year of cardiovascular, clinical, or related healthcare experience.
/li liPrevious on-the-job training or completion of an Allied Health training program.
/li /ul h3Preferred Certifications /h3 ul liCertified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
/li liCertified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through CCI.
/li liCertified EKG Technician (CET) through American Allied Health.
/li /ul h3Preferred Skills /h3 ul liAdditional language proficiency.
/li liExperience with cardiac monitoring systems and cardiovascular diagnostic testing.
/li /ul h3Work Schedule /h3 pbFull-Time Days /b /p ul liScheduled for 40 hours per week.
/li liDay shift hours based on departmental needs and clinic operations.
/li liMay be required to work occasional weekends, holidays, or participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
