Health & Occupational Safety Lead-RSPP

As Health & Occupational Safety Lead at the Ferrara site, you will shape and execute the H&S; strategy to achieve a safe, compliant work environment. You will work with site leadership to monitor performance, drive improvements, and ensure statutory and LYB standards are met. You’ll lead an H&S; team, coordinate audits, and promote a strong safety culture across manufacturing, R&D;, and support functions. This role links site operations with corporate safety initiatives to support sustainable, safe performance. A key hook is advancing Goal Zero through proactive risk management and cross-functional collaboration.

- Define and deploy site H&OS; strategy, objectives, and budget in alignment with leadership
- Coordinate prevention and protection activities as Site RSPP under D.Lgs.81/2008
- Lead and develop the H&OS; team,
including safety campaigns and KPI reporting
- Manage internal and external audits, ensure corrective actions and governance
- Promote reporting culture, near-miss analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Represent Ferrara Site in LYB HSE networks and corporate campaigns
- Oversee health risk assessments, exposure monitoring, and PPE decisions
- Provide training input for H&OS; regulatory requirements and field support
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Safety related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a complex manufacturing environment (preferably chemical & process industry)
- Proven experience in managing teams and budgets in a multinational environment
- Past experience in HSEQT is strongly preferential
- Fluent Italian (written and spoken); fluent English (written and spoken)
