We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to join our Solutions Business Center Europe team. The Solution Business Center is a regional team with team members located in different European countries and supporting customers throughout Europe and Central Asia. The current position is based in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI), Italy. The candidate will oversee the engineering process for solution projects from proposal to contract close-out and guide the Engineering and Production team.
What is the role about?
The Project Engineering Manager oversees the engineering and production team for solution projects across Europe, from proposal to contract close-out. The role includes guiding the engineering and production team coordinating with customers and partners, and ensuring designs meet technical, commercial, and safety standards.
The main activities will include:

- Lead and manage the engineering process for solution projects from proposal to contract close-out.
- Coordinate and direct the project engineering team, ensuring alignment across organizations, disciplines and coordination with all stakeholders.
- Coordinate and lead the rollout and implementation of methodologies within the engineering team and ensure the processes are followed.
- Evaluate and qualify third-party partners and suppliers for fabrication, engineering, and equipment,



support supplier qualification and procurement processes.
- Ensure project design and engineering packages meet technical, commercial, quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

What do we expect from you?

- 10+ years of experience in a similar position in a project engineering environment or technical department.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven capacity to design system architecture and basic engineering for solutions projects - such as P&ID;, block diagrams, process description, operating philosophies of systems including sizing, definition and selection of systems and components.
- The knowledge of relevant IT applications, Autocad 3D and Autocad LT, MS Office, and relevant specialized engineering tools.
- Ability to manage and lead an international and multi-cultural technical team without formal disciplinary power.
- Ability to evaluate different design and execution options with respect to technical performance and cost impact; strong communication and discussion skills.
- Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) for an optimal collaboration with international colleagues and customers.
- Experience in successfully leading multidisciplinary engineering teams for solution projects with EPC contractors (Engineering, Procurement and Construction)
- Ability to travel as required.
