Position Overview:
The Control Panel Technician will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical control panels and automation systems at customer sites. This role involves extensive travel (approximately 50%) to customer locations to support equipment startups, provide field service, and ensure optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build & test electrical control panels to NEC and UL standards.
- Travel to customer sites using company vehicles to perform startups, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical control panels and systems.
- Perform hands-on work with electrical systems, including wiring, PLC programming, VFDs, and automation controls.
- Conduct service calls both onsite and via phone to support customer needs.
- Perform inspections, testing, and repairs to meet UL(Underwriters Laboratories) and safety standards.
- Work with pumps and pumping systems, including rotary lobe, diaphragm, and progressive cavity pumps.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand system design and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Provide technical support in the areas of automation controls, and industrial equipment.
- Document service activities and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
