Role Description The Information Technology Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Zurich, Switzerland. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting network and server infrastructure, including monitoring performance, applying updates, and ensuring system reliability. The specialist will troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, provide timely technical support to internal teams and clients, and document solutions and configurations.
Daily activities include managing user accounts and permissions, supporting secure remote access, implementing network security measures,
and collaborating with colleagues to improve processes and service delivery. The role also involves communicating clearly with stakeholders, prioritizing support requests, and contributing to projects that enhance the company’s IT services.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Information Technology, including operating systems, hardware, and common enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in Network Administration, covering configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, and related infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting across servers, networks, and end-user devices, with a methodical approach to problem resolution.
- Knowledge of Network Security principles and practices, such as firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and basic security compliance.
- Commitment to high-quality Customer Service, with clear communication, active listening, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Microsoft, or similar) are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Zurich, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
