You’ve built markets, not simply managed them. You know how to create demand, turn early interest into revenue and establish a premium brand in a new territory, without needing a corporate infrastructure around you.
This is the opportunity to take ownership of Italy for a fast-growing British electric mobility business entering its next phase of European expansion.
You’ll effectively run Italy as your own startup. There’s a proven product, backing from an experienced international team and lessons to draw on from successful European launches. But the decisions, relationships and commercial momentum in Italy will be yours to create.
Why this role
Italy is a genuine zero-to-one opportunity, with a year-one revenue ambition approaching €2m and significant freedom over how you get there.
You’ll decide what the local operation needs to look like, where the brand should establish its presence, which partnerships can accelerate growth and how to turn customers from interested prospects into passionate advocates.
This isn’t a traditional General Manager role where success means maintaining an established operation. You’re here to build one.
What you’ll do
You’ll take ownership of the Italian P&L;, converting orders into revenue while building a commercially sustainable and profitable market.
Your focus will be growth. You’ll develop partnerships, create local brand awareness, represent the business with press and senior stakeholders and identify smart ways to put the product in front of the right customers.
Alongside that commercial responsibility,
you’ll establish a lean local team across sales, delivery and after-sales. You’ll have access to experienced marketing, sales and operational teams elsewhere in the business, but you’ll retain significant autonomy over what happens in Italy.

About you
You could currently be a Country Manager, General Manager, Commercial Director or senior market leader within a startup, scale-up or entrepreneurial consumer brand.
Experience in D2C, premium consumer products, automotive, motorcycles, mobility or another high-ticket category would be particularly relevant. You’ll understand longer, considered sales cycles and know how to create demand rather than waiting for it.
Commercial instinct matters more than corporate polish. You’re confident building relationships, representing a premium brand and making decisions with incomplete information. You watch every euro, care about profitability and believe efficient growth beats growth at any cost.
