Location: Milano, MIThe Role

Condé Nast Italy is seeking a motivated Finance Analyst for a Maternity Cover position. Reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partner, they will be responsible for delivering high quality FP&A; activities for the Market. This includes collaborating with the Market Controller to ensure all outputs relating to the actual results have been completed and to prepare variance analysis and commentary as required by EMEA Region, Corporate FP&A; and Global Functional Business Partners.

They will support the preparation of Budgets/CEs, as well as preparing ad hoc analysis as requested.

Please note that this role will join Condé Nast Italy with a fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover) lasting up to 12 months.

Primary Responsibilities

MEC (Month End Closure) Reporting

- Work collaboratively with the Market Controller’s team to ensure that actual results are presented in a timely and accurate manner, resolving any coding or EPM OOB issues and responding to queries about the Month End actual results
- Using inputs provided by the Market Controller,



assess Month End performance and prepare variance analysis and commentary

Consumer Team/BP

- Work with Consumer Team to evaluate performance at the Market and Revenue Functional levels, helping evaluate and plan growth opportunities
- Develop deeper analysis of performance and ways to benchmark and report on Revenue & GP performance

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

- Support in the preparation and consolidation of Budgets/CE for the Consumer Revenue, Content and Content Org teams
- Respond to queries from the Market Director Finance Business Partner
- Contribute to the preparation of analytical support as part of more strategic or cross Regional analysis
- Provide detailed support to the Content Operations team in the market in preparing Brand content Budgets, incorporating the budgets approved by the Global Brands and the Global Content Finance teams to the local budgets.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as requested

EMEA Region Support

- Participate in EMEA Region ‘Squads’ aimed at promoting best practice in key Revenue related activities, sharing ideas and networking to drive greater standardization in approach

Primary Skills & Qualifications

- Previous experience in FP&A; or corporate finance, ideally within media, publishing, digital content, or fast-paced consumer sectors
- Professional fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken
- Foundation in core accounting principles, cost-center allocation, and revenue recognition to support accuracy during actuals reconciliation




- Hands-on expertise in Month-End Closure (MEC) routines, variance analysis, and preparing annual Budgets and Current Estimates (CE)
- Proficiency in Enterprise Performance Management platforms (e.g., Oracle/Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP BPC) with practical experience diagnosing data mismatches, coding errors, and Out of Balance (OOB) issues
- Advanced Excel capabilities to build driver-based financial models, evaluate Gross Profit (GP) performance, and benchmark revenue streams
- Proven ability to collaborate with non-finance stakeholders (Consumer Revenue, Content Operations, Brand Directors) to convert operational plans into realistic financial forecasts
- Proactive engagement style suited for regional 'squad' participation, process standardization, and alignment of local brand budgets with global allocations
- Ability to synthesize complex operational data into clear strategic commentary under strict month-end deadlines

Salary Range The position is expected to be classified from the 5th to the 3rd level under the “Graphic - Editorial” Collective Bargaining Agreement, with an annual gross salary ranging from €29.200 to €32.600, in addition to a comprehensive employee benefits package.
