A strong scientific background in numerical optimization is required, including non-smooth and non-convex optimization, as well as splitting methods, and their application to automatic control and machine learning. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an aptitude for collaborating with other areas of the School and with local, national, and international industrial partners.
