About CEI
CEI is a B2B SaaS platform for industrial manufacturers. We connect to existing utility data and plant systems to deliver verified energy baselines, CBAM compliance documentation, and 5-15% energy savings from operational waste — no hardware, no capex, 30-day deployment.
The platform is live. Pilot outreach has started with Italian ceramics and food manufacturers in Emilia-Romagna. CBAM is operational from January 2026 with the first mandatory declaration due September 2027 — 24,000 Italian factories need verified per-process data they don't yet have. We have a 6-month head start on competitors.
We are looking for a commercial co-founder to own revenue and distribution from day one.

Compensation
Co-founder equity — meaningful percentage, 4-year vest, 1-year cliff. No salary at this stage. If you need a salary to join, this is not the right moment. If you want upside and the chance to build something from scratch in a market with regulatory urgency, keep reading.

The Role
You own commercial — entirely:
Beachhead pipeline — Italian ceramics, cement,



and heat treatment manufacturers in Emilia-Romagna and Veneto. 100-150 targeted plants. You build the list and work it.
Full-cycle sales — outreach, discovery, pilot structuring, negotiation, close.
Pilots to ARR — convert free diagnostics into paying subscriptions and multi-site deals.
Channel partnerships — ESCOs, EGE-certified energy consultants (FIRE/FEDERESCO network), industrial associations, OEMs. We need 2-3 active partners sending qualified intros.
You report directly to the founder. You set your own commercial agenda.

What success looks like — month 12
€50,000 ARR from 5+ paying manufacturing clients
3-5 active pilots with real industrial sites
50%+ pilot-to-subscription conversion
2-3 channel partners actively generating intros
A commercial proof point strong enough to support a seed raise
