Senior / Principal Systems Engineer – Hydraulics & ControlsLocationItaly, Bologna area (onsite only)Salaryto €80,000 + premio + benefitsThis role would suit a senior engineer or principal engineer with a solid background in developing hydraulic systems for construction machines (specifically Excavator machine platforms).BackgroundThis position sits within an established and growing construction machinery OEM and provides the opportunity to influence the design of future Excavator and potentially Wheeled loader machine platforms.As a senior or principal hydraulics systems engineer you will be responsible for optimising the performance of Excavator and Wheeled Loader machines for the European market. This will involve influencing hydraulics systems architecture and design, working closely with local validation / test engineering teams and the wider global R&D; organisation.Your focus will be on whole vehicle performance and optimisation, including influencing hydraulic system architecture, hydraulic system integration, machine behaviour,



and control strategy.Your RoleProvide technical guidance and expertise in the development, optimisation and performance of hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic controls for excavator and wheeled loader platformsWork closely with engineering teams in Europe and China to define, develop and optimise hydraulic system architecture, control strategies and machine behaviourAct as a technical authority on hydraulic system performance, helping engineering teams resolve complex technical issues and make informed design decisionsWork with engineering teams to develop and evaluate hydraulic system concepts, architecture and control strategies for current and future machine platformsSupport the integration of hydraulic and control systems into machines, including system commissioning, testing and problem resolutionYour BackgroundDegree qualified or equivalent in mechanical, mechatronics, hydraulic engineering or a related discipline.
