About the role

Onspora is recruiting Sports Data Scouts across Italy to collect live match data at sporting events.

Scouts attend assigned matches, use a mobile application to record match events in real time, and submit accurate data during and after the event.

Current recruitment focuses on volleyball and football.

This is a flexible freelance opportunity. Assignments depend on your location and the availability of matches in your area.

Responsibilities

- Attend assigned volleyball or football matches.
- Arrive at the venue before the scheduled start time.
- Record live match events using a dedicated mobile application.
- Maintain accurate and timely data throughout the match.
- Complete and submit the match assignment according to the required procedures.
- Follow the data-collection guidelines provided during onboarding.

Requirements

- Good knowledge of volleyball or football.
- Android smartphone.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good attention to detail.
- Stable mobile internet connection.
- Ability to travel independently to nearby sports venues.
- Availability for occasional match assignments.

Previous sports data-scoring experience is not required. Full onboarding instructions and practice assignments are provided.

Compensation & conditions

- €55 per successfully completed official match.
- Flexible assignments based on your availability.
- Monthly payments.
- Payments available through PayPal or Skrill.
- Match tickets are reimbursed according to the assignment procedure.
- Transportation costs are not reimbursed.




- Assignments are generally offered according to your location and available events.

Please note that assignments are not guaranteed and depend on match schedules and local coverage requirements.

Selection and onboarding process

The recruitment process is straightforward:

1. Application
Submit your basic information and availability.

2. Platform registration
Candidates who move forward will receive instructions to create their account on the data-collection platform.

3. Short online interview
A brief interview of approximately 5 minutes to assess basic English communication and knowledge of the relevant sport.

4. Self-paced onboarding
You will receive training materials, including guides and videos explaining how to use the application and collect match data.

5. Practice assignments
You will complete practice matches using the application. For volleyball recruitment, candidates complete 2 practice matches, which are reviewed before approval.

6. Approval
After your practice work has been reviewed successfully, you can become eligible for official match assignments.
