Lead the growth of Stryker’s Extremities business across North and Central Italy, combining commercial ownership with hands-on people leadership. As Regional Sales Manager, you will develop an experienced sales organisation, strengthen partnerships with surgeons and hospitals, and lead both direct and indirect channels through an important phase of growth and transformation.

What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team across direct and indirect channels, setting clear objectives and building an accountable, collaborative, and performance-focused culture.
- Own regional commercial performance, including sales targets, forecasting, pipeline development, and execution against annual financial objectives.
- Develop and execute regional business plans to grow existing accounts, acquire new customers, and expand the Extremities portfolio across North and Central Italy.
- Build strategic relationships with surgeons, operating room teams, hospital decision-makers, procurement teams, distributors, agents, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple clinical and commercial stakeholders, maintaining visibility of opportunities from initial engagement through implementation.
- Analyse sales, pipeline, customer, and market data to identify opportunities, address performance gaps, and implement targeted actions to improve results.
- Develop organisational capability by supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and ongoing development of team members.
- Lead the team through business and organisational change while partnering cross-functionally to maintain customer service, commercial execution, and employee engagement.
What you will need
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of professional work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience within sales and/or marketing roles.
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience, including direct people management or matrix leadership.
- Previous professional experience within the medical device industry and operating room environments.
- Professional working proficiency in Italian and English at minimum C1 level.
- Previous experience using customer relationship management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous commercial or leadership experience within Orthopaedic Implants, Trauma, Extremities, or a related surgical portfolio.
- Previous experience managing a combination of direct sales teams and indirect commercial channels, including agents or distributors.
Additional Information
- Territory: North and Central Italy.
- Location:
Milan preferred; candidates based in other major Northern Italian cities may also be considered.
- Work arrangement: Field-based.
- Travel: Approximately 70–80% across the assigned territory.
- Customer presence: Regular presence at hospitals and operating room environments is required.
- Compensation: Annual base salary range of €58,100–€96,800. This role is also eligible for commission and/or premio, along with Stryker’s comprehensive benefits package.

Italy Pay Ranges:
- Italy: €58.100 - €96.800 EUR Annual
