Posizione:
We are currently looking for a
Pre-Commissioning Manager
to join our project in
The Netherlands
, involving the mechanical construction of a
bio-refinery plant
for a leading international client.
The role is site-based and will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination and execution of pre-commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements, technical standards and client expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
Define and implement the Pre-Commissioning strategy and execution plan
, including procedures and method statements for Client approval
Lead and coordinate all pre-commissioning activities by system and subsystem
, ensuring readiness for Mechanical Completion and handover
Manage resources, tools and subcontractors
, overseeing execution and ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines
Supervise testing activities
on piping systems, equipment and related interfaces (flushing, hydrotesting, leak testing, etc.)
Monitor progress, punch lists and close-out activities
, ensuring timely completion and proper turnover to commissioning




Interface with Client and stakeholders
, including site walkthroughs and validation of procedures (SIMOPS, permits, partial handover)
Ensure proper documentation and preparation of Mechanical Completion dossiers
, maintaining full traceability of tests, inspections and activities
Requisiti:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical background)
10+ years of experience in Pre-Commissioning / Commissioning roles
, including team coordination responsibilities
Proven experience in
EPC industrial projects such as refineries, petrochemical, power, gas or biofuel plants
Strong knowledge of
piping systems and pre-commissioning activities
Familiarity with completion, handover and turnover processes
Good knowledge of
international codes and standards
(e.g. ASME B31.3, PED, DVGW)
Strong organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English (minimum B2 level).
Knowledge of Italian is considered a plus.
