About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented AML & Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Bank of China Milan Branch. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our operations by leading anti-money laundering (AML) initiatives, managing connected transactions, and ensuring adherence to international regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in banking compliance, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:

AML and Sanctions Compliance Leadership
- Lead the establishment, implementation, and continuous improvement of the branch's AML framework and policies.
- Conduct comprehensive institutional Money Laundering (ML) risk assessments and oversee AML supervision and inspection activities.
- Maintain and optimize the AML IT system to ensure efficient monitoring and reporting.
- Organize and deliver regular AML and sanctions compliance training to staff across all departments.
- Provide expert compliance advice to business units regarding AML and sanctions regulations.
- Monitor and manage the progress of AML cases, taking the lead in investigating and resolving major AML incidents.
- Handle suspicious transaction reporting and cooperate with external agencies for joint AML inspections.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities on AML and sanctions matters.
- Act as the Secretary for the Branch Complian
