**Our school**
- Founded in 1958, ISM caters for over 900 students from more than 60 nationalities. Our campus, which opened in September 2013, incorporates a theatre, swimming pool and full-size gymnasium as well as specialist classrooms, labs, libraries, arts and music areas. All of our sections are fully authorised for International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes - Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Kindergarten to Grade 6; Middle Years Programme (MYP) from Grades 7 to 11; Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 12 and 13. ISM is the most established IB world school in Italy and has an excellent record of results in the Diploma averaging 34/35 points. In addition,

- Plan and deliver high-quality Sports Science lessons for DP students, adhering to IB philosophy and standards.
- Teach and assess MYP Physical and Health Education with enthusiasm and creativity.
- Foster critical thinking, inquiry, and a passion for learning in students.
- **Curriculum Development**
- Collaborate with the department to develop and refine Sports Science and Physical Education curricula.
- Integrate interdisciplinary approaches and contribute to the department's alignment with the IB Learner Profile.
- **Assessment and Reporting**
- Conduct formative and summative assessments in line with IB criteria.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to support student growth.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reports.
- **Professional Collaboration**
- Participate actively in departmental meetings and professional learning opportunities.
- Contribute to the broader life of the school through co-curricular activities, sports coaching, and other initiatives.
- **Pastoral Care and Well-Being**
- Support the holistic development of students, fostering resilience and a growth mindset.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. **CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**:
**Qualifications and Experience**: - A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching IB Sports Science or a similar curriculum is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in delivering both theoretical and practical components of Sports Science. **Skills and Attributes**: - Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective classroom management and organizational skills.
