The _Brain Development and _Disease_ _Research Unit is coordinated by Laura Cancedda.



The research focuses on _the study of Cl homeostasis regulation in brain disorders and ageing_. This includes_ _in vitro_ _and in vivo_ _testing of the working hypothesis with biochemical, pharmacological and behavioral tools on preclinical models. Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be: - biochemical assessment of Cl homeostasis mediator in ex vivo brain tissues
- behavioral assessment of pharmacological approaches. **ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- A PhD in_ Neuroscience_ and similar disciplines
- Strong experience in biochemistry and_ _behavioral experiments
- Good command of spoken and written English
- A strong publication record
- The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data **ADDITIONAL SKILLS**
- Experience in work in laboratory models of ageing
- Knowledge of the biology of Cl homeostasis in disease and the biology of ageing
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
- Possess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset **COMPENSATION PACKAGE**
- A yearly gross salary ranging between 30K and 35K
