Our client is a well-funded, investor-backed medical technology company developing an innovative surgical platform within the cardiovascular space. With strong financial backing and a long runway, the business is entering a critical phase of clinical and product development and is now seeking a senior scientific and operations person to shape and drive this next stage of growth.
This is a board-level leadership role suited to an individual who combines deep cardiovascular device expertise with the ability to build, scale and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams in a start-up environment. **Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the scientific, technical and clinical strategy of a complex Class III medical device platform
- Drive product development from advanced R&D; through clinical programs and regulatory progression
- Build and develop a scalable R&D; organisation across engineering, clinical and regulatory functions
- Oversee system-level architecture including integration of hardware and single-use disposable components
- Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company strategy,



investor engagement and long-term value creation **Ideal Profile**
- Significant experience in cardiac / cardiovascular technologies
- Exposure to blood management or blood-contacting systems
- Proven development experience involving single-use / disposable medical device platforms
- Experience leading complex, regulated (Class III) device programs
- A hands-on mindset suited to scaling technology within a venture-backed environment
- The ability to transition innovation into clinical validation and regulatory approval This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable defining long-term scientific strategy and engaging directly with technical teams to solve complex development challenges. **The Opportunity**
