AIV System Engineer – Ground Segment - Rome

We seek a talented AIV (Assembly, Integration & Verification) System Engineer to work on a project in Rome, Italy.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Provide support on ground segment and subsystem verification plan definitions, maintenance, and control.
- Carry out Assembly, Integration, and Verification of the Ground Segment (GS) and subsystems at all levels
- Support systems design
- Interface with all subsystems and relevant teams during AIV phases
- Support operational and pre-operational phases
- Authoring of technical documents
- Familiarization with, finalization, and maintenance of the HW/SW MOC Pre-release Platform for the validation of FOP/GOP and SVT (i.e. the platform for operations data validation and operational configuration)
- Prepare AIV documents such as plans, test specifications, and technical notes
- Contribute to security test specification and define test objectives, scope




- Define resources and organization to co‐ordinate and manage all technical activities necessary to assembly, verify, operate and maintain the system in conformance with the customer’s specified requirements
- Identify critical development problems and assist in their resolution
- Define verification planning
- Define levels and pass criteria for the above tests and evaluate/assess test results

Qualifications

- University degree preferably in the fields of aerospace/space engineering, electronics engineering, telecommunication engineering, computer science or related engg
- Experience in system engineering and system-level knowledge of Ground Segment (GS) subsystems
- Proficient in working in a Linux environment and hardware virtualized environment
- Work experience in ECSS AIV process
- Fluent in Italian and English, as activities will be carried on in an international context
