As a Manufacturing Engineer – CAM Specialist at Baker Hughes, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing CNC machining processes through advanced CAM programming. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, improve cycle times,
and maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CAM programs for complex turbomachinery components using advanced CAD/CAM software.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and process robustness.
- Define machining strategies and cutting tool selection to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Support the introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing.
- Analyze machining performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and update process documentation, including setup sheets and tool lists.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support to production teams.
- Evaluate and integrate new CAM technologies and software capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Act as a technical reference for CAM-related topics within
