At BW Water, a De Nora company we are looking for a Proposal Manager EMEA based in Milan to join our Growth team in the industrial water treatment sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality technical and commercial proposals for international projects. You will work closely with Process Engineers, Sales Managers, and global stakeholders to design competitive and innovative solutions that drive business success.
This is a key position at the intersection of engineering, sales, and project execution—where technical expertise meets commercial impact.

- Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or similar)
- Extensive experience in industrial water/wastewater treatment
- Experience in technical proposals or project engineering
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in English and Italian or German (additional languages are a plus)

Proposal Development & Coordination

- Prepare technical proposals (process descriptions, PFDs, equipment lists, utility data)
- Ensure accuracy of technical deliverables (P&IDs;, layouts, specifications)
- Analyze RFQs and define scope, deliverables and resources
- Plan and manage tender timelines and submission deadlines

Engineering & Stakeholder Management





- Evaluate suppliers’ quotations from technical and commercial perspectives
- Support Sales Managers in meetings and client discussions
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (like suppliers and subcontractors)

Costing & Risk Support

- Support cost estimation and pricing preparation
- Contribute to risk assessments and project summaries

Project Handover & Support

- Prepare handover documentation for execution teams
- Support engineering phases of awarded projects

Improvement & Innovation

- Improve proposal templates and processes
- Contribute to lessons learned and best practices
- Integrate new technologies into proposal development
