Discover the Role
The Associate Fund Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate fund accounting records and delivering high-quality financial reporting for assigned client portfolios. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of fund accounting standards, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain the general ledger and perform daily, monthly,
and quarterly accounting for funds
- Prepare NAV calculations, investor allocations, and capital account statements
- Ensure accurate recording of capital calls, distributions, management fees, and carried interest
Financial Statements & Compliance
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS GAAP
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and client-specific requirements
Investor Reporting
- Prepare investor reports, capital call notices, and distribution notices
- Maintain investor records and respond to investor queries in a timely manner
Regulatory Reporting
- Reporting to the Bank of Italy and Consob
- CRS/FATCA reporting
Key Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an economic field
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fund accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS GAAP and fund structures
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
