Baloon Launch Operator (Stratospheric Baloons)

Responsibilities
This role concerns an operator with direct responsibility for the launch and retreival of stratotospheric balloons. These are multiple cubic meters balloons that carry customer payloads to execute missions in near-space environments. Our customers are stationed all over the world in remote and urban areas, and you will be required to interface directly with them to ensure mission success.
Key activities
Collaborate with the engineering team on mission preparation activities, supporting simulations, planning, and flight forecasts
Participate in test campaigns and commercial missions, contributing to field operations
Collaborate with the launch team on the preparation, deployment, and release of stratospheric balloons
Perform balloon and gondola recovery operations at the end of missions, ensuring their proper handling and preparation for subsequent use
Support the logistical and operational activities necessary for the smooth execution of flight campaigns
Ensure compliance with operating procedures and safety standards
Must-haves
Technical diploma in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in operational activities,
preferably in the aerospace sector or related technological fields; additional experience in other fields-industries is welcome
Keen interest in technical products containing electronic, mechanical and software components
Can-do attitude with troubleshooting mindset
Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to dynamic and constantly evolving environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good physical condition and willingness to perform field operations, field launch and recovery operations
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally during launch campaigns
Nice to have
Interest in the space sector and scientific exploration
Experience in operational or logistical activities
Familiarity with the use of technical instruments and electronic equipment
Class B driver's license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Ability to operate in dynamic environments and to work according to procedures and checklists
Basic-intermediate knowledge of English
Ability to work in a team and manage field activities
Experience with drones, model building, amateur radio, hobby electronics, or outdoor activities (hiking, camping, civil defense, etc.)
