In Fastweb + Vodafone we are looking for a Voice Network Operations Engineer for the Services Platforms team within Technology & Security. Your goal is to ensure an impeccable voice service for our customers by managing and optimising fixed voice platforms such as Softswitch, SBC and Registrar, and collaborating closely with mobile teams (IMS, SCP) and intelligent network teams to guarantee seamless integration of services.
Responsibilities

- Manage core fixed voice platforms (Softswitch Clase IV, IMS, SBC, Intelligent Network)
- Support monitoring, change, release and security activities on voice systems
- Ensure service continuity, addressing anomalies triggered by alerts, KPI and customer reports
- Collaborate with the Cyber Security team for incident management and vulnerability analysis
- Participate in project meetings with engineering and suppliers for release of new network architectures, from development to roll‑out
Essential Requirements

- Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or STEM disciplines
- Previous experience in voice network management, especially on fixed voice platforms
- Excellent understanding of SIP protocols
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems and network environments (e.g. Cisco‑like)
- Preferable knowledge of additional protocols (e.g. ISUP, Diameter, Camel, MAP) and IMS architectures
- Preferable prior experience in Network Operations roles (NOC/GNOC)
- Availability for on‑call duty
- Good command of English
