Job Description
We are looking for a Engineering FinOps Lead to the financial health, FinOps, sustainability and portfolio governance of the engineering organisation. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced technology and agricultural R&D;, partnering with engineers, product leaders and scientific stakeholders on capabilities with real-world impact. Make investment decisions more transparent by connecting engineering activity, cost and measurable capability outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Lead and apply deep expertise in Financial analysis and modelling to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in FinOps and cloud economics to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in Cloud cost allocation and sustainability metrics to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in Portfolio governance and counterfactuals to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in Vendor governance and procurement to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in Engineering fluency to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Collaborate across engineering, product and scientific teams to translate complex needs into practical solutions.
- Set a high bar for quality, documentation and thoughtful use of AI-assisted engineering.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Demonstrable experience in Financial analysis and modelling.
- Demonstrable experience in FinOps and cloud economics.
- Demonstrable experience in Cloud cost allocation and sustainability metrics.
- Demonstrable experience in Portfolio governance and counterfactuals.
- Demonstrable experience in Vendor governance and procurement.
- Demonstrable experience in Engineering fluency.
- Demonstrable experience in Data-driven reporting and visualisation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English, written and spoken. Bonus Points
- Experience in agriculture, life sciences, scientific computing or a regulated enterprise environment.
- Experience building platforms, products or services used by multiple internal teams.
- Experience working in distributed, international engineering organisations.
